Mu42 - how does it work

In being a musician yourself, having already produced one or another Record, you want to offer these in the Internet. Perhaps with some T´shirts, too?
Wouldn`t it be nice to have your own shop, including own homepage, internet address; a site where news, dates for gigs/concerts are being published? Maybe, with an own blog in addition?

How do I get my own shop, actually?

• You go on to the check-in site, entering your contact information, and send it.

• Instantly, you´ll receive an Email, including the accesss code for the Mu42 shop. With it your log-in for your administration tool.

• First you`ll enter the website-address, for example "the artist", under which you`ll be available in the near future. Therefore your new website address, http://mu42.com/the-artist, can be put onto Facebook, or you can also mail your fans, and friends.

• The next step is to load up an image with your logo, as well as giving it a "smashing, cracking, catching" title, (i.e. "The Artist"), and describe shortly something, what makes "The Artist" special!

• The basis for your website has been accomplished. Your website http://mu42.com/the-artist can be called up in the internet, and your shop is already listed through Mu42. Now all functions for further arrangements in your shop, are available. As a matter of course, changes regarding title, logo, and description can still be made.

How am I going to offer something in my shop?

• In your tool you`ll find in the menu "offer items", here you`ll find what kind of item you want to offer, i.e. CDs, DVDs, VINYL, T-Shirts, therefore you`ll reach a site on which you can describe these items, depending on its kind, there are different functions.

• Now, you enter the data of your item, i.e. description, title of the album, "artist", adding an image or cover with it.
Important for your price that you determine yourself, are the additional delivery costs. While calculating the price, our offering calculator will be helpful!

• Having gone through this procedure regarding your item, just press the button, and it`ll be online in your shop. Mu 42 will list up your item in addition in the Mu42 catalogue.

How does it work in selling CD`s as well as other items?

• When a customer has bought an item in your shop, Mu42 will take over the handling of the payment, by the time it has succeeded, you`ll receive an email, showing you an order has been made.
• In the menu of your tool, you can check all orders being made through "process my orders". Here you`ll find all details of the ordered items, such as address of customer plus additional delivery details (shipping documents) as a PDF download.
• Now you send the ordered item including shipping documents, which you have printed out, to your customer. Afterwards you confirm the dispatch through pressing the button. Your customer will receive an email confirming the dispatch, and ready!

Do I always have to send the items by myself!

• If you are having a box of CD`s, of which you are offering in your shop, you can send them to Mu42, and we will take care of the dispatch. Mu42 will charge you a flat rate (including administration, storage, and effort) of 1,- EUR, for each item sold.

How much does the offering and selling actually cost with Mu42?

• The most important: Registering, website, installation, shop, and the offering of your items are absolutely FREE of costs! With Mu42 there are no hidden costs or fees!

• For articles successfully sold through your shop, Mu42 will give you 80% of the net turnover. If you are liable to tax on sales, Mu 42 will cover this amount, too! Mu42 will take care about the remaining amount, regarding the costs of the platform (Financial office, bank, provider for the server, etc.)
